Base Requirements (Part 1)

So you want to learn how to do the Human Flag huh?

Well, I gotta tell you - it ain't easy. Let's start with the basics, the stuff you should be able to do no problem before you attempt learning the Human Flag.

Step 1: Be physically fit. You don't have to be a gymnast to do a flag, but you do have to be physically fit. I don't mean Arnold fit, or Jet Li fit, just... athletic. A good strength-to-body weight fit. I don't care if you can pump iron all day, can you do pull ups, muscle ups or handstand push ups?

Here's a basic list of some exercises that help train for the human flag.
  • 25 pull ups or 25 chin ups
  • 10 hand stand push ups (against the wall)
  • 20 leg lifts hanging from a bar
  • 50 regular push ups, in a row
  • 5 Bar muscle ups
  • 2+ minute plank holds
If you can do all of these in the quantities listed, you're ready to start training the human flag. Head on over to part 2!

If your still struggling, check out the basic requirements video instead and KEEP ON TRAINING THESE SKILLS!
